The Zorg Post Office, located in the Essequibo Coast Postal District, was opened in 1850 at Mr. Tilbury’s. By 1860, the office had been moved to Suddie, and around 1865, it was transferred from Plantation Belfield, bringing along the coded postmark “A2C.” The post office, housed at Mr. Hohenkerk’s store in 1881, was downgraded from a money order office on April 1, 1881, and eventually closed on March 18, 1884.
