
The Leonora Post Office, located in the village of Leonora on the West Coast of Demerara, 9 miles from Vreed-en-Hoop, was opened on March 1, 1880, at the Telegraph Station after being transferred from Anna Catharina. It served the local community with C. Hollingworth as Postmaster in 1892.
