The Hackney Circular Date Stamp (C.D.S) is a Panda Type E10 postmark.  The Panda Type E10 is Double Ring (D.R.)D.R 23 / 14 mm with Office abbreviation above date. 2 L.D. with Y.A. or missing. Colony depicted as B. Guiana clockwise on the right.

The Panda Type E10.1 is unlisted in The Postage Stamps and Postal History of British Guiana by Townsend & Howe. It is listed as Hackney D1 (p. 188) in The Postal History of British Guiana by Edward B. Proud, however, his illustration is thoroughly incorrect.

Colony depicted as in Type E6.1 (T&H Georgetown Figs. 26, 27 p. 342). Possible re-purposing of one of those Georgetown date-stamp with the Georgtown removed and the abbreviation of office added above date. Strikes with No Year are assumed to be 1883.

This postmark is rated (E)xclusive in the Panda British Guiana Postmark Catalog with a catalog value of £450 for a complete clear strike.

The Hackney Circular Date Stamp (C.D.S) is a Panda Type E12 postmark.  The Panda Type E12 is Single Ring (S.R.) 22 – 23.5 mm with Protective Corners. 2 L.D. with Y.I.F. British Guiana at foot.

The Panda Type E12.6 is cataloged as Type 8 and listed as “Scarce” in The Postage Stamps and Postal History of British Guiana by Townsend & Howe.
