The Enmore Post Office, located on the East Coast of Demerara, was opened on July 1, 1877, at the railway station. On February 12, 1883, it was moved to a nearby building. The post office was downgraded to a postal agency on August 1, 1929, with the station master serving as the agent. In 1947, it reverted to its status as a post office.
The Enmore Post Office was part of the East Coast Demerara Postal District and served the local community through various transitions.
